As April marks National Volunteer Month, HumCap would like to highlight the importance of giving back to our community. Volunteering not only benefits the recipients of our actions, but it also brings a sense of fulfillment and purpose to those who give their time and energy. HumCap’s purpose is to serve our people, customers, and community. Being able to make a difference where we live and work has been a core passion of HumCap’s since the start!
At HumCap, we recognize the impact of corporate social responsibility. We consistently participate in volunteer days and corporate giving programs. We partner with a number of organizations in our community such as UTD, The Army Scholarship Foundation, Food For the Soul, the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, Sci-Tech, and more. However, we also believe in the power of individual goodwill. That’s why we offer a company donation matching program, in which we match 100% of any charitable donation(s) our employees make on their own.
But we don’t stop there. For over 20 years, HumCap has a history of participating in community service projects across North Texas. From packing meals with the North Texas Food Bank for 9/11 Freedom Day to providing resume help and career guidance at local schools, and more – we are proud to serve our community! Coming together to give back is key to HumCap’s vision and core value to always Serve As a Team. This month we’ve teamed up with Communities Foundation of Texas to volunteer at The Storehouse of Collin County where we’ll be helping distribute bags of groceries at their Seven Loaves Food Pantry to serve over 650 families and feed our neighbors in need.
We believe that giving back to the community is not just a responsibility, but also a privilege. By volunteering or donating to causes that are important to us, we can make a positive impact and create a better world for ourselves and future generations. Through volunteering, we can develop new skills, build relationships, and gain a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
This National Volunteer Month, we encourage everyone to find ways to give back, whether it be through volunteering time, donating resources, or simply spreading awareness about causes that matter to you. It doesn’t matter how big or small the effort is; every act of kindness counts. As a company, we’re committed to serving our community, and we hope that our efforts inspire others to do the same.
